The Crimson Knights are an Order of Knights: Warriors, Mages and Archers gathered to present a united front to the creatures invading our adopted homeland. The long term goal of the Order is to promote the training of its members into an elite fighting force that can be used as a deadly weapon to repel these incursions.
To accomplish this goal, the Order provides training, helps create equipment and schedules frequent group quests and activities to develop member's tactical skills and personal battle prowess. Activities are scheduled for all levels of ability.
The Crimson Knights Monarchy began in June, 2000 under the wise direction of King Adric the Red and his council. In February 2003 Adric retired and our beloved Queen Kestrel succeeded to the throne. In October 2003 Kestrel decided to step down as Queen in favor of a play style that more suited her schedule, and Ou Davidge was selected to head the clan.
Membership requirements:
- The Crimson Knights adhere to our Code of Honor.
- Members who violate the code may be dismissed from the Order.
- Prospective members must agree to our Code of Honor before being admitted to the Order. If you have followers for whom you make the decision to join the Crimson Knights, then you and your patron will assume responsibility for your followers behavior and shall be expected to provide each person in your downlink organization an opportunity to eventually read and agree to our Code of Honor for themselves.
- Patrons within the Crimson Knights are responsible for ensuring that their prospective vassals understand and accept our Code of Honor before swearing in. If the prospective vassal has their own followers, then the patron is also responsible for those vassals behavior and for providing guidance that they may also read and accept the Code of Honor.
- We encourage prospective members to participate in at least one quest or event before swearing allegiance to a member of the Order.
- All levels, genders, classes or races are welcome to apply for membership in the Crimson Knights.
The Crimson Knights Code of Honor:
- All disputes within the clan should first be taken to your patron. If your patron is unable to resolve the issue, you may address the issue with any Chancellor of the Crimson Knights High Council. You can contact a member of the Council at any time by sending email to council@crimsonknights-sc.com or via the forums on this site in a private message. We prefer that you attempt to seek satisfaction by private message or in game communication before taking it public in the general forums.
- Respect other members of the Order. Respect from others is earned by giving respect to others. The Crimson Knights are a noble order created with a noble purpose. Disrespect destroys everything that the Order is attempting to preserve. Have respect for your fellow members, as well as your patron and vassals. In turn, they will respect you.
- Be trustworthy, courteous and honorable to all people of Dereth. As a member of the Crimson Knights, you are a representative of the Order in your dealings with others. Be fair and honest in your dealings, trades, PK or PKL duels and language with all that you meet on our fair world.
- Support those in need, within your abilities. It is your knightly duty to help those in need whenever possible. This might mean helping someone outside the clan retrieve his corpse, or escorting a lesser character past a particularly dangerous group of creatures. It does not mean you have to entertain every beggar in the streets or provide for them.
- Be self-sufficient. While the Crimson Knights are willing to provide for our members in times of need, we also expect that you make every effort to provide for yourself. Do not beg - for money, items, or anything else. Requesting assistance, (for help with corpse recovery, or buffs for hunting, etc.) is acceptable. Spamming the mansion, or a town, or going from person to person asking "Can you give me some ____" is not acceptable behavior.
- We do not "buy" vassals. There will always be someone else with more money or a better item, and those who would sell their loyalty once can be expected to sell it again, should a higher bidder come along.
- We also do not sell our services. If you choose to assist someone with anything, do so because it is your knightly duty, not in anticipation of a reward. This does not mean you must refuse a reward, should one be given upon completion of the task.
- Promote teamwork. As a military organization, teamwork is critical to success. When questing or hunting with a group be alert for commands from your leader, and provide information promptly when required. It is very satisfying to be part of an organized, successful and efficient team. Quest participants and leaders are expected to read and follow the Quest Guidelines.
- While we try to be mature in our dealings with others, we also need to remember that not all our members are adults. Please moderate your language in guild chat and other public chat. This includes "objectionable" subject matter as well as specific words. "The existence of a chat filter does not make the use of obscenities acceptable." All Allegiance/Guild chat should follow the Chat Guidelines.
- PK and PKL characters are welcome to our clan. In our dealings with other PK or PKL players we fight consensually, honorably, and are courteous in our language. Complaints tendered against PK characters are treated the same as complaints against non-PK members of the allegiance. Inappropriate or offensive conduct will not be tolerated. We also ask that PKLite participants try to keep the mansion area clean of their corpses to prevent excess lag for the buff bots and for those clan members who are limited in bandwidth.
- PK Looting policy; We do not allow you to loot your fellow clan members. Looting non-clan opponents is discouraged, but not forbidden. We ask members to use their discretion while red. Remember that how you treat PK opponents outside the clan will to a large degree determine the clans reputation and how others treat our PK members.
- We ask PK members to not instigate full scale clan vs clan wars without the prior support of the War Master and the majority of the High Council. This policy exists mostly to ensure that all red CK players are aware of potential KOSL threats to our tag.
- We discourage any behavior that is not consistent with the CoC. Howhever, we do not police the game's CoC / ToS, in AC or in any other game. It is not our Guild Policy to seek out and / or report UCMers. Some individual guild members may do so, but that's their personal choice, and is neither discouraged nor encouraged by us ( likewise language violations, griefing, training, Etc...). If you UCM and get caught and banned, we won't try to get you reinstated either . OTOH, if you don't use macros but are wrongfully accused of UCMing, we'll try to support you to the extent we can -thought it's unlikely we can have any influence on the situation, one way or the other.
- Have fun! After all, this is a game. The Crimson Knights was formed so that we could have more fun playing with others. Establish relationships with your peers, and enjoy all that Dereth has to offer. If you see something that is not to your liking, bring it to the attention of the High Council for resolution.
